TACKERS RED

James Boussounis
Another of our first year players it didn’t take James long to get a feel for
the game. His first half of the year was up there with the best. He, like
Zane, seems to know where the goals are he took some great pack marks
in our forward line. Unfortunately glandular fever cut his year short but I’m
sure he’ll be back stronger and fitter than ever next year.

Cooper Barnard-Brown
Cooper reads the ball off the packs like a true old fashioned rover, front
and centre type. I can’t remember the amount of goals he kicked by
swooping on the loose ball and he can “snap” a goal as good as Stevie J.
Can’t wait to see what he brings next year.

Ky Ingram
Ky’s work when in the ruck was nothing short of sensational. He too is a
great overhead marker of the ball and can kick on the run as good as any
which regularly ended up through the big sticks. Ky also held up our spine
in all positions throughout the year and is one of our tallest players. His
attack on the ball is ferocious and if he keeps that up, he will be hard to
stop next year.

Rafael Carmel
Raf came into the team half way through the year and without a pre season
under his belt, took a bit of time to come to grips with the speed of the
game. But if the last game of the year is any sign, he will have a great
2015. Raf had his best game with several key marks and kicks. Can’t wait
to see what a solid pre season of training does to his game next year.

Keely O’Flynn

Keely was a revelation in our back line. He did get runs in the midfield and
forward line but he is a natural back man and repelled attacks time and
time again. He is always one kick behind the ball and reads the ball
coming into our back line Matty Scarlett like. Also has a great kick - shares
the kick outs with Riley.
