UNDER 10s RED

Michael Roberts
Michael is the ‘gladiator’ of u10s football. I recall a game where Michael
amazed onlookers and team mates with his relentless pressure on the ball
carrier and determination in the contest. Michael’s fearless approach to
winning the ball builds the confidence of his team mates and leaves the
opposition thinking twice about competing against him. I’ve really respected
Michael’s enthusiasm to be part of the team and his commitment to doing
his best every time he plays. Michael also managed to draw the attention of
umpires and received votes in YJFL’s B&F count.
“Well done Michael, Go the Hawks and I hope you are a part of our team
again next year!”

Owen Roberts
Owen inspires teammates, coaches and on-lookers every week. His
capacity to break down barriers and bring the very best of the human spirit
out in others is amazing. Owen makes our team 100% better in every way.
On the field he is a fearless competitor who loves playing footy with his
friends. Off the field he is the number one champion for the side and his
team mates love him for it.
“Thank you Owen for making coaching even more rewarding and for the
enjoyment you give other parents involved. You’re a star and I can’t wait to
see you pull on a Falcons jumper again in 2015!”

Rainer Bowden

Rainer joined our team later in the season after being spotted at a basketball
game by one of our ‘talent scouts’. After some discussions with Mum, Rainer
joined training and soon became an integral part of our line up. Playing club
footy for the first time Rainer did an excellent job adapting to the speed of
the game and established himself as an important part of our Ruck
combination and forward line. I’m super excited by what Rainer brings to the
team and can’t wait to see his footy develop in 2015.
“Well done Rainer…..great work!”

Dante Iovenitti
Dante is another of our players you may underestimate at your peril. Dante
joined us after having played with Tackers Blue in 2013 and fitted in to the
team as if he’d been there for years. Dante has grown from a cautious
footballer at the beginning of the season to end the season as a confident
player prepared to win his own ball, tackle and defend for his team. Often
the ‘Court jester’ of the team, Dante has endeared himself to players and
coaches with his humour and laidback approach to life.
“Congratulations on a great year Dante!”
