This is the part of the yearbook where we pay
tribute to that group of hardworking & generally
unsung heroes behind the Greythorn Falcons –
The Committee.
The committee started the season this year seriously
undermanned numbering just eight members.
This of course meant that everyone had to do a little more -
made all the more difficult with our struggle with numbers
and the need to merge a couple of our teams. Nevertheless
we got by and enjoyed what we believe was a successful
and enjoyable season.
Towards the middle of the season – in response to our
requests for assistance, we were joined initially by Glenn
and shortly after by Gordon, boosting our number to ten.
A little while later we welcomed Joe, Olivia and Matty to our
group and suddenly we had a full compliment.
Whilst we finish the season with a healthy numbers this
won’t be the situation next year as an unprecedented
number of our group have declared their intention to retire
or to otherwise move on.
As such, we are once again calling for volunteers to join us.
Being on the committee is a thoroughly enjoyable and
rewarding experience and one that is highly
recommended. It must be as a number of us have been
part of the group for many years.

We have some exciting and challenging times coming up
in the near future and being on the committee is the best
way to experience them.
