UNDER 11s

Coach’s Award – Adam Lambert
You could tell in some of the early pre-season games that Adam was a
different and improved player from the previous year.
His reading of the play had improved as had his attack on the football and
he was constantly winning possession of the football.
His positive attitude at training was a great example to the other kids and
he was able to bring this into the games on a Sunday.
After a slow start to the season we tried Adam as a lead up forward pocket
and he didn't let us down kicking multiple goals for the season and
winning his own ball and becoming an integral member of the team.
Adam is a great listener and an inspiration to other kids who with extra
effort and the desire to learn and get better, can achieve their goals.

Sportsman’s Award - Ollie Purcell
Ollie was the Best & Fairest winner for the Tackers Red team this year,
following up from his Tackers Blue season in 2013. As well as playing a full
year with the Tackers this year, Ollie played an additional 14 games with
the U11s, including the finals.
His fierce tackling was noted consistently by other U11 parents who were
surprised to learn he was playing 2 years above his age group.
Thanks for your help Ollie. You are a little champ with a bright future at the
club.

Sportsman’s Award - Ethan Crane
Ethan has played a full year with the U10s this season, as well as all but 1
game with the U11s, including the finals.
Early in the year we tried Ethan in a number of positions, but found that by
playing him on the wing suited his hard attack on the ball, his ability to
read the play and move the ball forward with a beautiful left foot kick which
resulted in a number of goals.
Great work Ethan and thanks for your help during the season.

Sportsman’s Award - Eli Taylor
Eli has played a full year with the U10s this season, as well as 7 games
with the U11s, including the finals.
Eli is a fantastic all-round player. Eli could play any position on the field
and always played it well and to coaches’ instructions. His game in the
final was exceptional for a lad playing a year above his age group.
His ability to read the play and run the ball out of defence is testament to
his football ability.
Great work and thanks for your help Eli. We look forward to watching more
of you in the future.
