UNDER 11s

Runner-Up Best & Fairest – Jack Tolley
Jack has not only improved his football this year but he has also grown as
one of our team leaders.
The encouragement he has given to his team mates this season, even
when he was out injured and on the boundary line with the coaches, was
just fantastic.
He is constantly directing traffic on the field and leading by example.
His second half of the year was particularly outstanding and often kicked
multiple goals which resulted in him taking out the League’s goal kicking
which is a tremendous effort, particularly after a slow start with injuries.
Jack is a thumping kick and constantly turns what most players would find
half chances into easy goals.
One on one this season he has virtually been unbeatable and is constantly
applying scoreboard pressure to the opposition.
Not only has Jack been dominant up forward, he has gone into the
midfield when the team has been in trouble and his strong body work and
ferocious attack on the ball has steadied the ship on many occasions.

Third Best & Fairest – Will Exell
Will is certainly not one of the tallest players in the competition but his
heart is as big as himself. His courage and determination to win the
football sets an example to all of his team mates and you will often find him
at the bottom of the pack.
On top of this Will has excellent skills and his field kicking has gone to a
new level this year, lowering his eyes a lot more this season and frequently
spotting up targets.
Will reads the play exceptionally well and his work at stoppages is as good
as anyone's in the competition.
He regularly gives the opposition coaching staff headaches as he is nearly
impossible to stop and match up on.
Will is also capable of kicking freakish goals and towards the end of the
year, with our season on the line he certainly delivered in this area with
some match sealing and game changing goals.

Most Improved – Josh Gale
Josh has one of the best football brains in the business, way beyond his
young age.
His ability to sum up the situation of the game, put himself in the right
positions and carry out his coaches instructions is virtually without peer.
Josh is again not one of our tallest players, but his cleverness around the
contest more than makes up for any lack of height. Give Josh a task, or
play him in any position and he won't let you down.
Not only did Josh finish in the top 4 in the league goal kicking playing as a
goal sneak forward, in the latter part of the season, we moved him into a
quarterback role off the half back line where his composure under
pressure, footy smarts and disposal efficiency going forward certainly
played a big part in our second half of the season resurgence and charge
towards the finals.
