Personal Insurance

Protection for every stage of life

Insurance isn't about expecting the worst — it's about making sure the worst doesn't derail everything you've worked for. We help you understand what you actually need, and make sure you have it.

Too much, too little, or the wrong kind

Most people with personal insurance either have too little, have the wrong type, or are paying far too much for what they've got. The default insurance inside your superannuation fund is a good starting point — but it's rarely the right end point.

We conduct a proper needs analysis based on your income, debts, dependants, and overall financial position. The result is a recommendation that's sized for your life — not a generic policy.

Types of personal insurance we advise on

  • Life insurance — a lump sum paid to your beneficiaries if you die. Sized to cover debts, replace income, and fund your family's future.
  • Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) — a lump sum if you become permanently unable to work. Helps fund care costs, modify your home, and replace your income.
  • Income Protection — pays up to 70% of your income if you're unable to work due to illness or injury. Often the most important cover for working-age adults.
  • Trauma / Critical Illness — a lump sum on diagnosis of a specified serious condition (cancer, stroke, heart attack). Helps cover treatment costs and recovery without depleting savings.

Inside or outside superannuation?

Insurance premiums can be paid from your superannuation, which is tax-effective and cash-flow friendly. But holding cover inside super can have limitations around claim definitions, beneficiary payments, and tax treatment of payouts. We help you find the right structure for each type of cover.

Regular reviews matter

Your insurance needs change as your life changes. A policy that was right when you were 35 and single may leave you dangerously underinsured at 45 with a mortgage and two children. We build insurance reviews into every client's ongoing relationship with us.
