Coach’s Award – Jamie Lay
I wish I could give 5 or 6 Coach’s Awards but unfortunately only one is on
offer. This year I awarded it to Jamie Lay who battled through injury for a
great part of the season. Despite his injury, Jamie polled 12 votes to finish
in the top 10 in the League Best & Fairest. Jamie’s never say die attitude,
flint like hardness and willingness to undertake any role thrown at him won
him the award. Jamie is an extremely talented ball player who will continue
to evolve into a strong key position player.
