TACKERS BLUE

Best and Fairest – Tadhg McCarthy
As a second year player, Tadhg’s experience, size and speed made him a
valuable asset for his younger team mates throughout the season. Tadhg
shows a lot of ability in reading the play and making sure he’s in the right
position to provide a real contest. His strong kicking and marking helped his
team create many scoring opportunities and he also managed to bag a few
goals for himself.

Runner-Up Best and Fairest – Reuben Reid
Reuben had an outstanding season and was one of the most consistent
performers for his team throughout the year. He has the poise and
confidence of an older player and his speed and agility provided some very
creative and damaging passages of play.

Third Best and Fairest – Tom McCarthy
Tom had a great maiden season in Tackers, consistently bobbing up all
over the ground and using his strong kicking and confident marking skills to
benefit his team whenever he could. Tom was always trying his best at
training and was very supportive of his team mates during games.

Coach’s Award – Hugh Walker
Hugh is one of those players that all footy fans love to have in their team. He
has a lot of courage and desire to win the ball, regardless of the size of the
opposition. He has also worked really hard all season to improve his kicking
and marking skills. Hugh will be a great Falcons player for many seasons to
come

Most Improved Player Award – Elias Gunn
Elias really developed his game sense this year, culminating with a fantastic
performance in the final game of the season. He has a great, long kick and
has worked hard to make sure he now hits his targets. Elias has also
become more conscious of how to use his leg speed to advantage and he
has also developed a strong ability to attack the ball.
