TACKERS BLUE

Finally, my thanks go to all of the parents. Our
little footy team is a community inside of the
greater Falcons community and your
willingness to help out at training and at the
games was a vital part of what has been a
very successful season for our boys.

To the players – “Well done boys! The
coaches and your parents are all very proud
of the effort and enthusiasm you all displayed
this year. It was great to see you enjoy your
victories and just as pleasing to see the way
you carried yourselves, both as individuals
and as a team. I really hope you all come
back to have another crack in 2015.”

time and I’m sure the mobile ‘phone camera
footage got a good run in many households!
From a team perspective, it was also great to
see the older and more confident players
supporting and encouraging their quieter
team mates. We have talked a lot this season
about individuals being ‘cogs’ in the machine
that is a football team and the positive
encouragement that I saw at training, in the
rooms and on the field during matches was
very pleasing.
I would like to acknowledge the fact that Elias
G, Harry E, Tom Mc, Peter M, Jack F and
Lawrence F, played in all fourteen games for
the Tackers Blue team this year. That was a
great representative effort boys!
It has also been a very valuable and
challenging learning experience for me to
coach these boys. This was my first season -
having ‘graduated’ from a couple of years
serving as part of the Greythorn AusKick
group coaching ranks. I have thoroughly
enjoyed the experience and look forward to
continuing to coach this group as they
progress through the junior ranks.
I would also like to acknowledge the fantastic
support that I received from Justin McCarthy
(Assistant Coach) and Melissa Bergin (Team
Manager), without whom I would have had a
lot more headaches. My thanks also goes to
Justin Lewis (Game Day Manager), Ash
Falting (Team Trainer) and Glenn Rush and Tackers Blue Best & Fairest Winner – Tadhg
Rob Day for their umpiring efforts for our McCarthy uses his silky skills to slip away from
home games. the pack.
