About you

Working in Australian public practice for 2 to 4 years, and perhaps looking for a new , more challenging role. Must be a qualified CA or nearly complete after achieving your Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Commerce or similar. Experience preparing and lodging Activity Statements, prepare tax returns and annual compliance accounts for companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals. Demonstrate reasonable experience using various accounting software such as APS and Xero and have an acute attention to detail sound time management skills. Must have a commitment to ongoing learning, show initiative and have the desire to advance your career in an energetic. Ability to embrace a team environment working with a lot of different people, so being friendly, outgoing and personable are essential for the people we want to work with.

We are a progressive medium sized practice located in Aitkenvale, Townsville with a record of excellence in client service. We specialize in working with Medical Professionals, Business Professionals, the Building and Construction Industry, Agricultural specialists and high net worth individuals. Due to continuing growth we have an opening for a technically strong Intermediate Accountant who is tech-savvy with a keen interest in technology and ability to identify clients needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible directly to your Manager and the Directors for a number of medium to large clients with the view to build your own client relationships, working alongside a team of experienced accountants providing quality work to a diverse client base. Your key areas of responsibility will be taxation, compliance and advice, business strategy and structuring.

Ability to build successful long-lasting relationships with clients seeking technical excellence is critical.

Your development

Ongoing training and support through your CA studies, structured in-house and external training provided. You will benefit from our ongoing training to build you technical abilities providing you with the opportunity to work on your consulting, leadership and management skills.

You must

Demonstrate a high level personable communication skills and fluency with the English language. You must be able to work to deadlines, under pressure and without constant supervision.
