Superannuation & SMSF
Self Managed Superannuation Funds or Do-It-Yourself Funds (DIY) allow the members of the fund the ability to directly control where their retirement savings are invested. The advantages of this are the possibility of higher returns than the retail market on the fund investments and with your choice of administrators lower costs for management.
DIY Fund is a superannuation fund with less than five members that is regulated by either the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA).
As Trustees of a Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF), there are a number of responsibilities which need to be completed each year:
- Administration (bookkeeping) of the Accounts
- Tax Return
- Audit
- Compliance with the SIS Act and Regulations
We at Coutts Redington make it easy for our Trustees to comply with the SIS Act and Regulations and the requirements of the Australian Tax Office. Our staff are kept up-to-date with all the latest information and regulations which we are more than happy to assist our clients with.
If our Trustees need any advice with strategies on how best to invest their funds, we have an Associated Financial Planner on hand that can assist with any portion of your Fund or help you plan the whole Fund from start to finish if required.
