The Board licenses Authorised Buyers to trade NSW rice within the Australian domestic market. All rice grown in NSW must be sold and delivered to an Authorised Buyer. Unless a grower is also an Authorised Buyer they cannot retain any of the rice they grow.
The RMB does not guarantee the financial viability of the Authorised Buyers.
