The Financial Planning Process

“The first appointment/interview”

  • This is an obligation and fee-free discussion to let you know who we are and what we do, identify the financial planning services you seek or require, and an opportunity for you to decide if you are happy for us, as financial planners to assist you.
  • We will provide you with a Financial Services Guide (FSG) which gives details of our qualifications, experience and the areas on which we are authorised to provide advice, and we will also explain our fee structure.
  • At the end of this meeting we look to determine whether you are happy for us to proceed with the preparation of a financial plan for you, and begin to collect information from you to do this.
  • We will collect information regarding your financial situation and lifestyle, discussing your concerns, goals and objectives for the purpose of providing you with specific recommendations with a full Financial Plan.

“The second appointment/interview”

Once compiled, we will present your financial plan and explain how our strategy and recommendations will address your concerns and satisfy your needs and objectives.

Your financial plan will cover:

  • Your current situation.
  • The strategy and recommendations.
  • Actions required by you to proceed with the implementation of the recommendations.
  • All fees and charges relating to the preparation and implementation of the recommendations.
  • Which of our on-going service packages would suit you best.
  • We will then encourage you to take some time to give further consideration to the strategy and recommendations before proceeding.

“The third appointment/interview”

We will provide further explanation of any point or issue within the plan that you may be unsure of, or that you do not fully understand so that you are then in a position to make an informed decision about proceeding. This will include discussion on any adjustments to the plan we might need to make for you.

We will then assist you to complete all documentation required to implement the recommendations, before forwarding these documents to the respective parties for processing and putting your financial plan into place.

“The follow-up appointment/interview”

Once you have received all of your processed documentation from the various parties (fund managers, etc) we ask that you contact us again so we can check that all documentation is in order (either by discussion over the phone or a follow up appointment). We provide a special Client Folder to assist with document storage and to bring to future review meetings.

“On-going Service”

One of the most important factors in maintaining an effective financial plan is to ensure that it remains relevant and continues to meet your needs and goals over the years.
With our on-going financial ‘coaching’ and by conducting regular reviews of your situation, needs, goals & objectives, we can help you to stay focused by addressing changes to your circumstances as they happen. This ensures that your financial plan keeps up with what you need and want it to do.
