Centenary Childcare & Early Education Centre was established in 1995 to introduce high standards of childcare and early education programs to the Centenary suburbs. The Centre is privately owned and operated by a local resident family in the Centenary Suburbs. As such, there are no external shareholders or managers involved and all profits are returned to the Centre for the benefit of the children, parents, and the staff. This is reflected in the high quality equipment, programs, and qualified and experienced staff, which ultimately benefit the families who attend the Centre. We believe very strongly in the importance of a strong educational program to the early years of young children. We are not just a 'care' facility, but strongly focus on the direct and positive aspects to early education for children. We concentrate on not only the traditional literacy and numeracy, but also many of the life skills necessary, such as logic and reasoning, problem solving, and other aspects of social and mental development. We regard ourselves as a 'junior school', where the children receive the springboard to the start of their formal education at Primary School. Our goals are achieved when we see our children leaving us to attend school, with an active and excited willingness to increase their knowledge through the formal schooling years. The Centre has been awarded the highest Accreditation rating from the National Childcare Accreditation Council, and is an active Member of Childcare Queensland. We value the opportunities for the children to learn in a happy and stimulating environment.
