Super Calculator

How's your Super going?

A recent television advertisement run by a very large Financial Institution was promoting the idea of how fantastic a Superannuation calculator was that they had on their website.  Apparently, after a few minutes using this calculator you could get an idea of how your superannuation was going compared to what it could potentially produce for you during retirement.

The importance of knowing such information can't be overstated.

However, the Calculators on this site include such a Calculator.  One that's easy to use and quick to give you the information you want and need, and which you can discuss with your Planner.

The point is, though, that this site has a number of services like this where you can learn more about a number of financial Planning issues.  For example, along with the Super Calculator there are Calculators for looking at the possible effect of a pay rise or share dividend; or the effect of gearing your savings; or the power of compound interest; or How much cover do you really need?; or the effectiveness of long term savings; or Mortgage options; and the costs of education on your budgetTo see these Calculators click on the Calculator button in the top or left hand menu.

Also eWombat is the best search engine of the ATO website, so rather than going there to find out the ATO's take on issues, simply start at this site and type in a word or two like ‘dow' or ‘tax rates' or ‘simpler super' or ‘small business' or ‘investing' or any other key words you wish to investigate to see what's out there in an Australian context that you can use.
