| New rules to apply in Victoria will change the relationship between donor and attorney. |
It will no longer be possible to use a simple form from newsagent, post office or stationer. Extensive explanations and instructions need to be understood and it is probably now only possible to be executed with assistance from a professional (one of the witnesses must be a solicitor).
Is this an improvement? It?s too early to say, but?.
If you don?t have a Power Of Attorney, sign one now under the old (and simpler) system and update it later.
