The Single Income Family bonus is designed to assist families with only one income earner. The bonus is $900 per family payable where the family is eligible for Family Tax Benefit Part B (FTB-B) as at 3 February 2009. This bonus is to assist single-income families, which are likely to benefit less than dual income families from the Working Australian Bonus. Where eligible, the amount will be paid by Centrelink to families receiving fortnightly FTB-B in the fortnight commencing 11 March 2009. Alternately, the bonus will be paid with their lump sum FTB-B payment.
