Australian Citizenship Test |
An Australian Citizenship test was introduced on 1 October 2007. |
This means that applicants aged between 18 and 60 must now correctly answer at least 12 out of 20 multiple choice questions, including 3 mandatory questions, before they can lodge an application for Citizenship. The test questions are designed to show an understanding of Australia’s values, traditions, history and national symbols. Results are provided on the spot and applications for Citizenship can be made in person or on-line immediately after passing the test. The test is available at all Department of Immigration and Citizenship offices and selected Centrelink and Medicare offices (all test locations are listed at www.citizenship.gov.au).
