Update- Don't Lie

We all have family politics.

It is impossible to escape and needs to be managed. The thing however that makes family politics even worse is lying.

We have attached an article about a son who received $10,000 of a $3.8 million inheritance and then decided to take the estate to court because he needed more money 'just to survive'.

Unfortunately for him, his digital footprint showed the complete opposite.

The irony, apart from the attempted deceit is that the solicitors and court costs would have been paid for from the estate and commonsense tells us that he would have most likely been offered a settlement amount from his brother prior.

Should he have taken the settlement offer at the time given his history of being estranged from his father, probably yes but some form of righteous thinking about the amount he is owed/due must have stopped him and so instead he chose to lie.

Stupid.

At Newealth we are always looking to support and promote our clients wherever possible and if you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to email me via Contact Us or to call me on +61 2 9267 2322.
