Update- What happens when the mineral boom ends?

If Australian manufacturing needs to be focused on continuous improvement and innovation to be profitable in the 21st century then how do we rank in the World?

INSEAD and WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organisation) who co-publish The Global Innovation Index have ranked Australia 23rd out of 141 nations in 2012.

This is a relatively good ranking but unfortunately the trend has been downward with Australia having previously been ranked at 21st in 2011 and 18th in 2010.

The numbers are telling us that we are slipping in converting our innovative capacity into products, jobs and income but is the Federal Government listening and making it easier for business to do business?

At Newealth we are always looking to innovate and improve our ongoing services wherever possible and if you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to email me via ‘Contact Us’ at www.newealth.com.au or to call me on +61 2 9267 2322.
