Update- Australian Residential Property

From 1st July 2012 foreign workers will no longer be able to deduct rental costs from their taxable income under LAFHA.

This is a very significant change and expected to reduce the demand for $1,000 plus per week rental accommodation.

So if you own executive property being leased for $1,000 plus per week then be prepared to reduce your rental rate in order to keep the existing tenant.

It will also add to the existing downward pressure on property valued at over $1.5m.

At Newealth we are always looking to support and promote our clients wherever possible and if you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to email me via ‘Contact Us’ at www.newealth.com.au or to call me on +61 2 9267 2322.
