Update- What happens when the mineral boom ends?

Why did the Reserve Bank of Australia decide to reduce the Cash Rate by 0.25% at Tuesday’s Board meeting?

The attached chart on Gross Operating Profit (GOP) by industry over the last decade will give you some insight.

The GOP for mining and transport has been healthy and increasing while the GOP for manufacturing in this country has struggled since 2008 and is now down to around 130%.

We need to find a way to fix manufacturing because it is key over the next 30 to 40 years.

At Newealth we are always looking to support and promote our clients wherever possible and if you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to email me via ‘Contact Us’ at www.newealth.com.au or to call me on +61 2 9267 2322.
