Emerging Markets (Brazil, Russia, India, China)

In the report, The Long-Term Outlook for the BRICs and N-11 Post Crisis, BRIC markets have now risen from 2% in 2003 to 9% of global stock market capitalisation and are projected to reach 50% by 2050.

Without doubt there will be multiple stock market crashes along the way (aka buying opportunities) but the scale of this figure is the key to why we expect future global prosperity and not a second Great Depression in the first half of this century.

This probably does not come as a surprise when you consider that just these four countries alone account for almost 3 billion consumers.
