False & Misleading Advertising

New laws requiring all businesses to prominently display the total price of a product and or service came into effect from Monday, 25th May 2009.

Prices for product and services must now be inclusive of all quantifiable surcharges, fees and taxes with penalties of up to $1,100,000 for companies and $220,000 for individuals.

This will impact pricing for dining, flying and vehicles where the supplier often leaves out additional unavoidable costs until the very end of the transaction.

At Newealth we are always looking to innovate and improve our ongoing advice and services wherever possible and if you have any ideas or comments, please feel free to email me at invest@newealth.com.au  or to call me on +61 2 9267 2322.
